Teak tree (Tectona grandis) is a tropical whose wood often used in the furniture industry, while leaves are still underutilized. possess active compounds with potential to be further explored. On other hand, currently biodegradable-based packaging being developed address environmental problems. For this reason, research was carried out on edible film made from chitosan addition of ingredients teak leaf extract. This study investigated physical characteristics (color, tensile strength, elongation, solubility, cell microstructure, water vapor transmission rate) and chemical (moisture content, functional groups, antioxidant antimicrobial activity) The consisted three stages. first stage included extraction using ethanol evaluation its activity. second comprised preparation at 1 1.5% concentrations, extract 0, 0.1, 0.2% concentrations. third characterization for properties. results showed that had activity as evaluated by DPPH method IC50 value 46.78 ppm. leave also antibacterial Staphylococcus aureus. optimum condition production use 1% produced 8.53% RSA, 30.16%, moisture 38.28% solubility,1.52 MPa 9.54% rate 3672.32 g/m2, but did not show inhibitory effects S.
